About The Artwork
The work is part of my latest project that draws from sites of historical and mystical significance on the North island of Vancouver Island, Canada. The seals represent the fluidity between the subconscious, under water world and the conscious state of mind. The ferns are watching them, they seem like figures, are fragile themselves and almost swallowed by the dark. Landscape as a state of mind, alchemy.
