About The Artwork

In this piece, the numbers 12, 1, 2, 3 references a daytime – passing of a span of four hours. In todays digital world lest us not to forget the analog and mechanical age to remind millennial's and baby boomers to reflect more deeply about time and space. The twin black and white spirals dazzle the eye and creates a rhythmic ambient sound. If I were to suggest that analog time is equal to quality time. Then isn’t the digital clock just an afterthought? On the Copal motor case the tag read, MADE IN JAPAN, later inspiring the title for the “Made in Japan Collection,”developed during a residency at Western Front Society, Vancouver. Found object: pre-digital clock radio numbers, 4 coloured neons, vintage photos Hand-crafted Western Red Cedar Frame and ready to hang. AC powered Copal motors with spiral action and sound-field. Optional; plug in for enhanced atmospheric effect (kinetic, light and sound)
