About The Artwork

Continuum is presented as an evolving installation that viewers experience with all their senses. The installation mirrors the world through fire. It evokes an inescapable awareness that the fire is within us. Fire reflections transform into many shapes. For example, a performance costume in Untie is also a work of fire reflection art on linen, which then becomes an installation. Igor Josifov has been using fire as a medium for over a decade. He celebrates his process with films, installations, and performances. The artist uses fire as a mark-making tool on paper, linen, ceramic and glass.
