About The Artwork
Dean Todd (materials: woods, CCTV ,electrical appliance) Dean Todd Everyday behaviour is a mixture of subjective role-play and collective rituals handed to us by society. In our relationship with others we hide behind masks and assume different personas. We all follow established patterns of behaviour set down by history and convention. As an artist I have used performance and participation to call attention to these masks and roles, to break the conventions of the everyday. This interactivity, whether it is performative or participatory or a mixture of both, is an enablement to a particular experience and that experience is my work. Dr Dean Todd I have recently completed a Professional Doctorate in Fine Art at the University of East London. Specializing in performance and the participatory arts within the School of Arts and Digital Industries.
