The chalk used on school blackboards carries an affective memory. It is an object that will be used less and less in the face of new educational technologies for the teacher to write in class and supports for face-to-face or virtual communication. Turning colored sets of chalk into art therefore evokes disappearing blackboards and classroom models. Each of them, moreover, carries with it its own impermanence, as they fell apart with use, either by teachers or by chalk wars among students when alone in classrooms. Their transformation into an artistic object freezes them in time and stimulates memories in each observer. The finishing of the works, in which they are "bent" by sandpaper, evokes the mutations of time. They can also be destroyed by hammering and glued on canvas. Order and disorder, therefore, go together in this poetics of understanding the objects of the world considered real as a starting point for artistic reflection on the possibilities of seeing and reading the interiority of each individual and his or her surroundings. Chalk, as understood by traditional schools, has lost its place, but art reclaims it and positions it with affection in time and space.
