About The Artwork

Turn me on This piece was created by laser cutting ten longitudinal lines on a white matte methacrylate plate of 35.42 x 27.55 inches. Through these, ten folded steel sections are available: 2.3 x 0.8 inches and a length of 27.55 inches. The images, printed on photographic paper, are arranged on both sides of the profiles, divided and alternate. The exhibition “between lines” of which this piece is part, is a proposal of the author for the creation of an exhibition discourse where each individual creates his own itinerary, where the crossing of looks and the necessary flow of the observer provide questions and answers between lines. It is composed of fourteen independent units, seven of which are presented in vertical format and another seven in horizontal format with the measurements 70x90 and 90x70 cm. respectively.

Born in Oviedo in 1977, my life is spent between trips and experiences. Of artistic formation in the School of Art of Oviedo where five years of artistic formation and design course. I share in these years classrooms and knowledge in workshops of sculpture, painting, photography, drawing and design. In 2000 I moved to Barcelona to expand training in the workplace, where I contacted the best professionals in the country, making personal, artistic and labor projects of great importance throughout the national territory, England and Italy. In the year 2005 I return to Oviedo, with the learned duties, the experimentation and start-up of the “Great Vital Project” begins. Apart from combining work in various design studios as Deputy Director and Coordinator of events and museums, I perform and collaborate in several artistic and musical installations (as a percussionist). The constant study of the environment and the observation of our movements as a society have been and will always be constant in the object of my work, the result is the criterion of the one who looks, listens and feels.
