Frenzied Endorcism Installation

This work stems from my practice of found objects and their transformations to evoke feelings and to present unfamiliar views of these already viewed objects. The installation comprises of 5 rusty bikes that have been transfigured into insects/parasites that are feeding upon the natural world, in which they very exist.. Since this work was displayed at the National Museum, Karachi in Pakistan, it was quite self explanatory in context of the history and recent past of the city, the rusty bikes bearing reference to the bloodshed and unrest in the 8th largest metropolitan city of the world, once known to be the city of love and how it's inhabitants turned it into a slaughterhouse for decades thereby turning their own habitat into a terrorized piece of land... The rusty bikes are significant of protests against unjust killings whereby it became a sort of a ritual to set motor bikes ablaze to register dissent.
