About The Artwork
Part 4 of the project on gardening 'Hortus Conclusus', dealing with the formerly imovable good of private agriculture. It contains a brief history of cultivating land, of erecting borders, including and excluding, in this case: nature. Parallels to scripture are being drawn. The illustrations are black and white photographs showing shadows of plants and trees. There are also inkdrawings on transparent paper included. It is an artist's book, which can also be presented as a sculpture.
