'Mood Swings' is a simple arrangement of various beetles from around the world.
The piece represents the diversity of a person's mood in various stages with the colours ranging from a deep black showing despair to the rainbow colours and being lifted from the darkness.
I want people to see this piece and then look within themselves relating to the colours and how they feel.
The beetles themselves have been carefully sourced from sustainable conservation farms and cleaned to show their full potential of colours. they are then mounted on a card mount and encased in a black poly-resin frame.
Sustainable conservation farms help not only the local population of villages and people but, help to tackle illegal poaching. More importantly, they help introduce more numbers of the species back into nature thus, assisting the fragility of the species when their habitat is under threat from 'developers'.
