RUSTY IRON INDUCED BY THE ARTIST THROUGH THE CORROSION OF ACIDS. I like the way rust forms, theiron oxidizes. The color of the rust is the same as the colors of the desert and the red earth. I love these colors, the red and yellow ochres, the natural color that even if seems degraded or off, makes the rules. I am fascinated by the various stages of rust formation and subsequently the way it interacts with other stuff. It is an unique and unexpected event, always. I never know exactly what will happen, because even by repeating the same operations, I get everytime a different rust. These works slowly evolve in their own way, offering all thetime a unique show, a free, spontaneous and most of all authentic expression. Observing the surface of the iron, there are different roughness, reflecting or opaque areas. Depth and three-dimensionality, that illuminated by white and colored light, produce special chromatic games. Warm tones, naturalness, nuances, grain, different in every single piece. Whoever observes them does not only see the shades of the surfaces but also reads the lighting effect, shadows and colors that interact with the surrounding world.
