Pause Installation

Pause 2018 Mixed media 3'x4'x4' In my current body of work, I explore the scenes of funeral- carrying death and uncertainty of an afterlife but embracing them by showing their desires of life and ongoing travel as part of their lives. The collection of found objects started as the central source of my work. The imagery of the installation come from a moment of mundane life or the scenes I have chosen from dream, film and travel. The images look familiar but the arrangement of each element is given over to imagination. Each work has the power struggle, which the tension and energy of confrontation between the two opposite ideas. They celebrate and announce the day of funeral that attains lofty pinnacles of life. Finally, when the time comes, we will be discovering the dignity and the significant meaning of death.
