Loop film 00:00:23 Words Flakes film: 'Invoice paper text' Loop film 00:06:39 ... About : Snowflakes “Nudfa” How can the art work be an idea that is made by people, & how can the idea gather people? How can the idea be a process that is infinite!? Raising the question of self-definition and the relationship of the individual with the other, the work is conducted primarily through fieldwork, i.e., meeting people in the streets or public places and asking them to define themselves at the meeting moment, by writing short words on “invoice papers”! I use commercial “Invoice Papers” as a technical means to record the outcome in a visual form. I make small symmetrical geometric forms on these invoice papers using the “Pliers” lines. These invoice papers are carbon papers. So, every invoice is copied on two papers: one for me, & one for the participant. The invoice papers are a document reflecting the individuality of those who participated in the project, in which I was the medium of bringing them all together. I started meeting people in 04.07.2009 in Venice/ Italy. There are 784 people from different nationalities and places who participated in the project. I met them throughout my journey in different places including Venice, Vienna, Jerusalem, Ramallah, the Golan Heights, Munich, Stockholm, Umea, and Rome. I am waiting for a white document! The invoice papers are carbon paper. An invisible dye turns blue by pressure. All the symmetrical forms and the writings and the drawings on these papers are blue carbon lines which start to disappear! …
