The "Timemachine" installation consists of 12 sculptures made from old tires found on the street, worked, modified and sculpted. Every single sculpture consists of tires and synthetic resins of various types and an alarm clock. The velvety and matt black of the rubbers contrasts with the shiny metallic color of the resins. The 12 sculptures of the installation represent the 12 hours on the dial of the clock, each made of the same materials but different from each other in shape and size, as are the hours we spend during our lives. The work also analyzes the circularity of time in analogy to the circularity of the endlessly running machine wheel. The work also underlines the circularity in the recycling and reuse of materials, which changes shape and function over time. No longer a tire of a car, but a sculpture, an abstract form. The installation consists of 12 sculptures positioned as follows: one hangs from a wall about 180 cm in height with a rough nail in the wall, the other 11 can be positioned in different ways, both on the ground and on pedestals, in a total area of m 3 xm 3 = 9 sqm. The installation was exhibited by the artist Antonio Mele at the "Cro Art Gallery" in Vienna in 2016, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Austria, and published in the "Timemachine" catalog by the publisher "Il Mondo di Suk".
