About The Artwork
I chose to use the glass tank as I wanted to safely incorporate the water element of the piece. I was hugely inspired by the works of Damien Hirst when I was a child, there was this fascination of being able to press my face up against the glass of 'Mother and Child Divided', seeing the intricate details of the unknown. With this piece you are made to stop and look at what would have otherwise been history, a moment of the past, unwanted and unseen. There are huge archeological threads in my work, which is a methodology I am exploring further.

I am an artist. My practice includes printmaking, sculpture, creating installations, photography, painting, collecting, repurposing, teaching and collaborating. My work has always been inspired by the natural world. I explore, I collect and I give life back to objects that have been disregarded and lost. I'm currently studying my MA in Creative Entrepreneurship at The University of East Anglia and preparing for my first two solo shows this July at the Anise Gallery and The West End Centre. I will also be taking part in a group show next week at the Espacio Gallery and preparing for my stall at The Other Art Fair 2019, Kings Cross.
