Installation: Digital, Paper on Cardboard, Paper.
One of a series entitled 'Diaspora ' ; The work has its origins in debris left in gutters and the paintings emerging from this - ( see 'The Dreamlife of Debris' series'). I was looking for a way to better reflect the patterns and rhythms of discarded items and the use of ink-jet-printed surfaces on cut card low relief proved effective. The notion of 'the discarded' seemed to have resonances with contemporary events - hence the 'Diasporas Series'. The image is not yet framed but could be housed in a box frame approx. 3" deep and weighing c. 5lbs it would be easily hung from hooks and hanging cord.
The photograph shows the image in a mount coloured frame ( not included.)
