A sequence of 9 digital interventions on scans of original drawings in pen, 17x12 cm each image (color print on 300 g/sqm paper), in 3 white triptych frames, 50x23 cm each. In the years of my undergraduate studies, I’ve engaged under a strange impulse (probably the need to draw more and better the human figure) in what then seemed to be a simple and necessary repetitive exercise. Now I understand it as a research of an everyday context in which the "human figure" is in static transit - the world is moving around it, not the other way around. Likewise, the lines and forms, perceived by me then and re-evaluated now, are transient, their traces constructing repetitive patterns, oscillations of time that reverberate in these "figures" and which move them in perpetuity towards a common goal - dissolving them into memory. Starting from the notebooks in which I’ve seized such oscillations and patterns, I’ve selected a series of nine drawings that capture different aspects of the phenomenon of the transition of beings into figures. These frames recreate a possible space that the viewer will mentally construct from the nine sequential fragments. The negative presentation of the original drawings inverts the empty-full ratio to give a new immaterial consistency to the line and to suggest the virtual, mental space in which the lines oscillate, intersect and form familiar figures, or patterns and actions that define the state of transit in which these figures are captured. The addition of color and form intensifies the dialogue of the line with the space it determines through its oscillation. The hybrid approach of the creative process - drawing in pen/ink as a basis for digital processing - allowed me to preserve the expressiveness of the original line by putting it in dialogue with the digital addition of abstract shapes and signs loaded with the visual force of the magenta color on black background. The initial drawings were a mnemonic medium, and like any memory that transforms with any restoration of it into consciousness, my sketches now tell another story, one in which I find myself today after 10-11 years.

Art is for me a way to interpret the world, giving it a meaning. By trying to understand the outer shelf of the universe, seeing it mentally from the outside using imaginative reductive and abstract ways, I find the path to the inner self, a Self that is both subjectively personal and universally the essence of manifested and human life. I am trying to resolve incompatibilities and antinomies through transfiguration of the use of language, making them to work in harmony and acquire thus multiple perspectives knowledge of the things. I believe that language itself is the life of the work of art. Language ONLY makes you see and feel and understand. It is the path of humanity in all its manifestations, bringing us together to our Self. "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world" (L. Wittgenstein - Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, 5.6). The WORD embodies into the WORLD, into the IMAGE.
