About The Artwork
Having struggled with loss, I struggled with silk, ropes, and dyes: tying and dying, until wrestled into some form of submission, the burdensome energy lifted and I felt my spirit renewed. Triumvirate of Maladies is comprised of three separate silk organza dyed pieces wrapped around driftwood with additional merino wool and threads. It is in one piece, ready to hang at any height from hooks either from a ceiling or wall. Hooks are included as it is ideally situated at least 6 inches away from a wall with lighting that creates shadows or may be hung for a 360 degree view.
