About The Artwork
I was coming home from a supermarket and saw a sign. I love signs. I always wanted to have one at home. This one was very big. It lay on the lawn in the very center of Kyiv. "What a pity that I can not carry it with me" – I thought with regret. Then I asked myself: "Why not?!" At that moment, I felt a dose of adrenaline in my blood. I took the sign, trying to hold in one hand (there was a huge bag of groceries in the other). My fingers ached, it hurt. Art turns to be painful sometimes. Nevertheless, the sign was worth it. It stayed at my place for 1,5 years. Its yellow radiance always delighted me and reminded about that day I found it. Still, something was missing. One morning, in a rush of creative flow, I came up with a car idea, it was a perfect match. Follow signs on your road, they will take you to the right places!

Daria Pugachova (02.12.1990) was born in Rivne, Ukraine. In 2012 she studied photography at Victor Marushenko's School of Photography. Daria graduated from Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture in 2014, but never worked as an architect. In 2013–2019 Daria was a drummer in a pop-trio Panivalkova. In 2019 musicians split up and Daria dived in the contemporary art field with visual art and performances.
