About The Artwork
My woolen painting of Irises was is potem by one of my favourite paintings by Van Gogh. It was the first of my woolen paintings in the newly discovered medium - felting. The background is produced in wet felting technique and the detail stabbed with felting needles. Not one stitch involved. The whole process took me about 3 weeks of labour of love. I use hand died organic Merino wool and some silk threads.
