About The Artwork

This current time of crisis that began as a so-called "Health Crisis" inspired me to start making this work. Those who, through researching together with intuition and common sense, have to fight to get the truth out alongside the other kind of fighters, namely those who fight to be among those who deliberately profit handsomely from this time of crisis. Will it be a battle without winners? I hope, of course, that my audience can recognise themselves particularly in the first group of fighters I have described above and, above all, that it is far from over! We stand there with heavy heads, pinnable fists and new attacks in the stomach area, but we must fight on. The governments together with their corporate media have already stripped us fighters, but they cannot reach the inner force of nature. That's why I drew a slightly exhausted boxer, but one that is still standing!

Born the 31 of July 1964, Stephan B. Reisig lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.Stephan B. Reisig (57) is a painter who has lately been drawing mostly with colored pencils on paper. Sometimes he uses mixed techniques like charcoal/pencil and acrylic paint on paper. The style can be described as realism with a certain aspect of alienation and depersonalization of the depicted individual which gives it an urban anonymity. In his newest series he wants to achieve to express the pureness of used materials and the pureness and directness of the depicted (human/ animal) forms trough painting. And drawing, straight on the canvas. But mostly on paper. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Illustrations-Stephan-B-Reisig/12728531 www.stephanreisig.com / www.lama-topart.nl/catalog_showdetail.asp?type_id=&cat_id=&artist_id=42&
