About The Artwork
The portrait is a fantasy inspired by Élena's talking to her friends. We were discussing the photos and faces, which let me start drawing a collection of portraits showing the unique beauty of a human face. This artwork is inspired by the expressive electric vilolin play by Caitlin De Ville, a Zambian violinist. The artwork shows the unity of the blasting wind, the blazing life expressed by the wild beauty of the young woman playing the violin, the disappearing sounds of her vigorous music, the fragile musical instrument in the maestro's skillful hands, the thin fingers flying on the strings - all mixed with the abundant green and sienna colours of the South Africa.
