'Cervine' is part of the Mythical Characters series which explores our relationship and interpretation of animals/beings from a bygone age. Something will fall into the realm of mythical when there is no physical evidence to corroborate their existence. No skeletons, bones, photographs or modern writing were available at the time to record them. However, certain individuals will keep the memory alive by honing in on the energetic timelines, thus allowing us all collectively to keep them alive. The cervine was created by man at a time when they perceived themselves to be Gods on earth. By using the visual language of Icon art, which is more associated Christ, I was trying to bring this narrative to the fore. God created man and man create the cervine.
