About The Artwork
Layers of acrylic paint and epoxy resin create a visually pleasing riot of color. I started working with epoxy during the pandemic. My husband is a recovering opiate addict and is on methadone. During the pandemic he was able to bring home his doses of methane one in little bottles. The medicine inside was such a bright pink. I started collecting the empty bottles and started playing around with epoxy trying to replicate the color and liquidity of the medicine. Eventually I was so taken with the bright colrs you can achieve with the epoxy that I forgot all about the methadone and took off in a new direction of bright colors and joy.
