This is one of my artwork from the ,,Travels,, series. Why travel? Because life is a journey, because all the roads I've walked have led me to the same place. They guided me to achieve inner satisfaction. Whether I traveled with my mind or with my step I sought to discover the magic of the place, believing that I could keep the vivid memory of those moments in my memory. The destination of the road is not a goal, it is a pretext. The journey is important. The journey to a new place, the unknown adventure, can be a moment in life that changes and defines who you are, so you can discover sides of yourself that you didn't even suspect.

Romania
Ioana Badea was born on September 1, 1976, in Bucharest, Romania. The course of the creative activity was a journey from the figurative to the abstract, to conceptual art, volume and installation. Ioana Badea believes that in order to create an abstract work, you must manage to master the figurative, to have a clear image of the work in mind in order to be able to synthesize it, to manage to take it into a sign. During her student years, she went through all these stages that led her to turn her attention to a new direction, a theme in which he looked for possibilities of expressing materials from nature in the pictorial space, she tried to find coefficients of plastic language in nature, for which the materials she used were collected from nature. She gave up tube color for a while and used wood, ash, earth, sand and many other plants. She proposed that each sketch be the space where she can express his thoughts, feelings, her own vision of the states and emotions she goes through. She wants to reproduce the ideational message using different tools less used in the field of painting and some materials less known to her.
