About The Artwork
Rolled tea bags, dye and embroidery Exhibited at the international mini textile exhibition, ’Textiles over Gold’ Bratislava, 2014 This work was inspired by a vase of lilies. The flowers had not fully opened and buds were still draped elegantly into curves. The image was created by rolling tea bags into a thick thread and sewing them onto the background. Further thin layers of tea bags were added and embroidered with gold thread to represent reflections of sunlight on the flowers and crystal vase.
