About The Artwork
Rolled tea bag strips woven and embroidered Exhibited at the international mini textile exhibition, ’Textiles over Gold’ Bratislava, 2014 This piece was inspired by natural forms in the forest. The tea bag strips were rolled into ‘yarn’ which was then woven into fabric on a simple home-made cardboard loom. The repeat pattern was embroidered onto the weaving with more dyed, rolled strips.
