Fish Dock is a commercial fishing dock. Depending on the season, boats are coming in with fish, shrimp, clams, crabs, and other sea life. The boats are unloaded to containers that go into refrigeration or are packaged for local restaurant buyers waiting nearby. Local Pelicans arrived right on the same boat schedules. They were always looking for the fish, shrimp or anything else that got away. They managed to keep the docks completely clean. This is a Limited Edition Print Gallery Stretched Canvas, Authenticated, Signed and Numbered. 50 Prints only.

The images tell a story. They're like a brief Haiku poem that has a beginning, middle and end - a form of journalism and art. Always different in subject or mood. Unlike most photographs, they have added elements – details to express their subject. And like art and poems, some are sensible some nonsensical, some detailed description or color-filled shapes. Some are carefully engineered, some splashed into place. They say what they need to say in a unique or a familiar way. Hope you enjoy the subjects. I spent over 25 years as a film producer. Took up digital photo art fairly recently. Aside from film style visuals, photography was something I rarely enjoyed. It wasn't film. The photo pieces weren't edited together like film. So I had to change that - think it out - because of all the years of film. Some image tries were like completing a sentence that somehow did or did or didn't hang together. Of course, some successes and some not-so successes at first. I have a number of image-likes, as we all do. Among other things, I have an enjoyment of water images – ocean, rivers, streams – even puddles…and trees, of course. Doesn’t matter really. And then there’s the Philadelphia Italian Market eBook. I like the market. It’s the oldest – 100+ years – in Philadelphia, and cooking is a hobby. I wondered what I could do photo-covering the market. It’s one of those places everyone photographs the heck out of and the irritated vendors throw rotten fruit and vegetables at the camera person hanging around – or they ask for a talent fee. There were press photogs, people taking photo classes that get the market as an assignment, and travelers always taking photos. So I joined the crowd & took photographs. I developed something akin to film production. Or put another way, tried to edit the photos into a visual story with a little humor. I had to laugh. Then decided, since I did that, I’d develop it all further into a book – an eBook. Only took a little over 2 years to complete. The photos took longer than the words. I need to call it Photo-Art. It’s both-but-neither in my view. You’d think finishing about 40 photos wouldn’t take anyone very long to complete. NOT! How about 2 per month over 24 months. Many awards coming my way. One of the pieces was selected out of 700 hundred entries for a 35 piece exhibit. Another selected out of 3000 entries for a 117 piece exhibit. That was a WoW for me. These were US–wide, and two states-wide exhibits.
