About The Artwork
I am fascinated with the blending of today's digital imagery with traditional and modern painting. I have transferred a digital print to stretched canvas and embellished it with acrylic paint. My intention is to provide an essence of traditionalism in portraiture with the fresh new life of today. The young woman's head is beauty which can be scared with life and yet remain full of vigour and attractiveness.

I was born into a family of practicing artists with the smell of paint and pencils wafting through the house. I was trained as a carpet designer, attending art college for three years part time while being mentored by an experienced designer in the studio of the company I was apprenticed to. The basic training was that of any fine artist and I have always painted. Most of my paintings are based on sketches and photographs that I have made of people, places and things. I have sold paintings through out the UK, USA and Saudi Arabia. I have exhibited at the Birmingham Open, Harris Brush Works and The Malvern Theatres in England. I hope you like my paintings.
