Patricia Voglreiter’s identifiying features are monochromism and expressive textures. Her monochrome art pieces represent minimalism, simplicity and reduction in today’s world of overstimulation. With structures and the use of a single rich color the artist conveys movement, elegance and positive energy. Voglreiter is fascinated by the different forms of nature and architecture. By using natural materials such as sand, linen, cotton, plaster and clay, she skillfully blurs the line between sculpturing and painting. Thoughtful processes, natural materials and environmentally conscious art supplies are the core of the artist‘s creating process. Originally from Slovakia, currently based in Salzburg, Austria, the artist discovered her passion about art from a young age as her mother worked as a textile designer. Years of working and living with her husband who is an architect intensified her passion for sculptured design and material studies.
