About The Artwork
This creation started as a photograph I shot one early summer morning - look close and you will see spider webs between the flowers. The photograph was edited to black and white and then stamped on brushed metal to give it a textured look. Hours of colors and fine details were added in by hand to create this magical work. The butterfly is in magnificent colors of purples and yellows. Silver added to accent wings and body of the work. The feet of the butterfly legs land softly on the flower and bring to it life of colors. The colors were sealed with a low gloss clear protectant to capture light differently. Signature and artists thumb print added to the lower right hand corner. Silver ink details highlight this work. Ready to hang floating frame. Different light sources and time of day give the appearance of changing colors reflecting off the brushed metal. This work speaks of transformation and life and peace - finding the beauty within and radiating that love and transformation to the things that are touched. All things we do in life, we touch, we say... all thing in life have a "ripple" - the legs of the butterfly demonstrate this as they softly touch the black and white flowers and colors start to emerge.
