About The Artwork

I like to see piles of coins come together, stacked and scattered randomly, like organic creatures. They are pushed and thrown with powerful sound. I selected the image of Queen Elizabeth II icon in one dollar coins being published in Hong Kong from 1987 to 1992. It is a product of the British government period in Hong Kong and a kind of memory of us. It gathers together irregularly and is divided into lines with a polka dot pattern, creating a feeling of instability……it comes to fade away after the Queen dies.

She used all the women's handcraft creating processes such as bead weaving, embroidery, weaving, hand sewing, tapestry making…. etc. Her work is always inspired by the procession of making, like her counterfeit money series with an underground workshop behind, tapestry making art projects to invite people to join making during the exhibition period.
