About The Artwork

Original, one-of-a-kind large acrylic and gold leaf on gallery wrapped canvas painting from the "Golden Light series". "Golden Light" is a series of paintings -seascapes and landscapes, depicting amazing shores and ocean views of Nova Scotia, Canada. What is unique in this set of artworks, that in each of them I incorporate a gold leaf into acrylic paints. It creates a really magic atmosphere of sparkling light on the sky, the clouds, the ocean waves and boats. Factually the golden light is the sunlight, which rays are falling from the sky and enlightening all around, creating contrasts, reflecting from the water, playing with other colors on the canvas and finally getting caught by the eye of the observer. The intensity of the light is changing with the angle of the view and is getting enhanced by the different lighting which surrounds the painting. The painting looks wonderful as under the bright day light, as in the dim evening shadows. The shore depicted here is at the Lunenburg Bay. Beautiful Lunenburg is a port town in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Situated on the province's South Shore, Lunenburg is located on the Fairhaven Peninsula at the western side of Mahone Bay. Amazing ocean views, colorful saltboxes houses, sun light diving in the dark blue water and playing on moored boats and ships - everything there just asks to be memorized on the canvas. !!! Please, note, this painting will be removed from stretchers and carefully rolled into a shipping tube. If you wish it to be shipped "ready to hang" - stretched with eye hooks attached to the back of stretchers, please, contact me, as the shipping cost has to be added to the cost of the painting. Currently, the painting is stretched over a wide 1.5" wooden stretchers, and the sides are painted as a continuation to the main image. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding my works. Thank you for visiting my gallery.

Canadian painter and sculptor, works with acrylics and oils on canvases, also creates plaster on wood reliefs, or three-dimensional paintings, as he calls them. He is truly passionate about the amazing beauty of nature, processing it through his eyes, his mind and his hands to the stillness of canvases and plaster, aspire to express not the picture, but the life itself, without forgetting the fabulousness of human presence in it. On canvases he work with brushes, palette knifes and finger touch when needed. Alexander's 3-D paintings consist of the plaster figures, sculptured and carved on the base of the wood frame, finally covered with acrylic colors, creating spatial view, as real, as color - induced.
