About The Artwork
Jennifer Grimyser is a photographer with a wry sense of humor and incredible attention to detail. Her images have the professional polish of a glossy magazine, yet use none of the digital tricks. Each of Jennifer’s photographs is painstakingly constructed in the studio; the artist cuts, carves, photographs and re-photographs images and objects in her work by hand, then positions them to create multiple layers, setting the stage for the ‘perfect’ single image over several weeks or months.
