PortrAIt No. is a series of portraits that explores the paradox of identity and how individuals can rebuild their inner selves and their image and present it as a whole, without one being necessarily reflective or representative of the other. The portraits are created by taking a set of my own photographs (family, friends and street photography portraits) and manipulate them or finish them digitally. Afterwards, those images are fed into my own AI instance that generates new portraits after a certain amount of training time. My aim was to represent how our self, values and image aren't only determined by our own decisions, but also by how our environment and the people around us shape us, leaving some of the end product of the self be partially an outcome that is not always under our control. This artwork is digitally manipulated and AI re-generated. Printed and sold only once on professional fine art matt Hahnemuhle Cézanne Canvas.
