Racing spaceships - Limited Edition of 1 Artwork

Ships race in outer intergalactic space What was it exactly that gave me the idea for beginning this new drawing or print? Was it some late-night movie on the television or just some comic book that I had picked up to read at my leisure? Whatever it was that was at the origin of this idea my imagination really perked up when in the animal pet shop when I saw this aquarium with the goldfish swimming between the artificial green plastic rushes. It seemed as if there were two of the fish were having a race chasing each other. Then suddenly as if by some magic I was transported from my milieu in the middle of the room surrounded by the other shoppers into that watery world of the aquarium with the goldfish as my companions. The water had become an empty space in the outer galaxy where everyone was just floating around doing something or nothing. The other goldfish had been transformed into planets and the plastic rushes had become galactic comets or hyperboles with the two racing goldfishes two space cars taking part in an intergalactic space race. Going back to my atelier I immediately sat down before my computer and taking up my drawing tablet began to give my ideas a formal conception.
