Resilience Artwork

What inspired me to do this work is the stress of life and the beauty of living. The honour and purpose we have in this life. At the time, I wanted to let go of my stress, and I squirted some of the paints I had made onto a piece of cardboard I kept. I always look for beauty in "ugly" and "mundane," and I love turning them into something real and beautiful. Something that, when you look at it, makes you feel, think or 'admire' it. I love colours, can you tell? I enjoy the intermixing of colours and their movement of them. Hence, my main mediumship is always acrylic pour, but I also love details. To add details to my art, I go in with my fingers, with oil pastels, Conte, charcoal pencils and much more to refine it. This, to me, is the recreation of life. This is how I channel the "ugly", and the "stress" and manifest it into beauty..into "Resilience."
