" SHANGHAI COOLERS " I love making textured artworks. I gives me a lot of personal satisfaction. From the start of the textured process with the mixing then the sculpturing and finally the painting and varnishing. It is quite a heavy texture which picks up a lot of shadows from varying angles of light. Love it!!! This piece is a blend of pastel colours on a light grey background. I have a young lady friend that originated in Shanghai China and she inspired me to make this sculpture/painting. She said that a lot of ladies use cooling fans on hot days in Shanghai. This piece is made of a mixed media that is quite heavy in texture. It is the shadow lines of the texture that bolster the character of the painting. It is wired on the back ready to hang. It will be shipped in a crate for the protection of the art work, making sure it arrives to you in the best condition possible.
