arya Rhyner is a Swiss artist. Her multifaceted work between object art and painting explores evolutionary processes, aspects of subjective human perception and value relations in relation to the scarcity of resources. Darya Rhyner uses natural resources, which stand for intact nature - man-made, dismembered, covered or changed in their natural form and function in the sense of deconstruction, and transforms them into a work of art. In some cases, color pigments and mica particles are added during the production process. The dried cellulose remains and forms a kind of resource relic. The sensory experience is part of the process and relates primarily to the production of the works. The exhibited pictures are created by layering different organic waste, which is decomposed beyond recognition in various stages of shredding. The experimental approach in dealing with the recycled raw material is primarily concerned with the search for the origin, transformation and processes of nature. The process of decomposition and organic degradation plays an essential role in this. While the act of the artistically active individual focuses on the selection and arrangement of the material, natural processes take center stage, which elude the artistically intended expression and thus bring unexpected dynamics to light. The layered, organic levels take over a relevant part of the creation process with the individual biological death of individual raw materials.
