Juliette McGill 'JULIETTE', born Hertfordshire London 1970, trained at Chelsea School of Art under the tutelage of Clyde Hopkins, Mali Morris, Roger Ackling, Jo Bruton, graduated in 1999 with BA (hons) Fine Art. Juliette McGill has lived and worked in Paris and San Francisco as a full time artist and within the fashion & music Industry, Juliette currently lives and works in her native Hertfordshire. Juliette McGill, Artists Statement: "My work is shaped by my life experiences, my love of colour & gestural free painting. I work mainly around the female form and florals. My deep connection to nature & the environment has branched my work into categories such as 'La Mer, 'Natura', 'City Vista', Landscapes in 'Nordica' & representing endangered species in my 'Jungle VIP's' series. I am primarily interested in depicting the concept of 'emotional space and the female psyche', this is often through decorative figurative and florals leading through to more abstract textural work. I like to explore purely natural materials, water based, non toxic products, this can be through very delicate, light mark making and colour (or monochrome) through to layers and textures and the use of multi media. My paintings have both impact and harmony, through my varying subject matter I marry fluidity and stillness." Juliette McGill primarily sells original art, often made to order, due to scale requirements. Juliette McGill has also been taken into print and distributed through Rosenstiels. Juliette McGill has is an established independent artist with private collectors and also works with a variety of Global Galleries.
