There is no one particular way to percept my works. There are (or should be) as many of them, as many individuals with their own personal experience observe my collages. Each one can find his/her own way to perceive my works. In this context my works are opposit to the western traditional scientific dogma with it's methodologies, verification processes and paradigms as frames which make the only correct perception and interpretation possible. Each certain way of perception contents an ideology, hidden in it's structure and I just have no right to obtrude any kind of ideology upon an observer. But also I find it necessary to take a few steps forward those of you, who have found my collages interesting and want to know a bit more about them. There is one very popular example - an image of something, that could be identified either as a vase or as two faces opposit to each other. According to "common sense" you can not see both images at once. But my own experience tells me that it is possible, although not so easy. Caused by capacity limits of actively perceived information, our brain use to complete the images we see. Recognizing an object in our environment as an object seing before, the brain delivers a complex image of the entire scene based on "pre-recorded" stereotypes. Cinema as well as some other entertainment branches are using this ability to produce and stimulate illusions. But exactly this ability can be an obstacle. Overgrowing with stereotypes and growing numb we are loosing the ability to wonder, to see the world each time in a different way. And in my works I try to "re-animate" the perception, trapped in stereotypes. It is possible to see both: the vase and two faces at once, but only if you stop to name and identify them as such. This is very close to the practice of meditation. Just as you have to stop thinking there, here you have to cease identifying and concentrating on the details and particular objects. Shifting your "mental focus", try to see the whole at once. In this case your perception would pass through the language barrier and you would be able to see the world of forms, colors and multiple connections between them, hidden behind the words...
