I grew up in a small town in southwest Oregon. Nature was my back yard. Trees were for climbing and carving your initials and maybe those of a girl friend and rope swings. Maybe that influenced my love of the beauty of wood patterns and flowing colors. Nature is the real artist. i just have to look for the story and harmony of the wood. These guide my carving tools.
