The frantic dash to freedom “This is not the era of war “these were the words of a political leader at a recent conference. The war in Ukraine overshadows the western world while the plight of the refugees trying to flee the chaos in their respective countries, the reports of these events are now delegated to the background in the daily news. The recent publication of news articles in the press about these refugees fleeing across the open seas in their flimsy boats inspired this print of a person desperately trying to swim to a new world of hope and success. The frenetic dash to an illusionary life of freedom where once again they could breathe free air. I chose the new media medium to show the flurry of reckless movement. The original artwork consists of a composition of three panels. The first and upper most panel has for size of image 41.5 X 60.4cm. The second and third panels the image is 41.5 x 30.2 an. The artwork is offered for sale in a limited edition of three complete works comprising of three panels each. Each artwork comprises of three panels with signature and a certificate of authenticity. The work of art itself has been printed manually and digitally by the artist on special etching art paper of 310 gm using UltraChrome HD inks.

Born 1954 India Now have my art studio in Angers in France.Have been painting and etching for more than 25 years.My inspiration comes from my working experience with S.W.Hayter and other contemperory artists like Krishna Reddy. Now do mainly digital works like painting and printmaking. For this I have developed a new form of new media prints using digitalized technique and maroufled onto a heavy art paper of at least 300 gms. After the transfer by marouflage of the printed onto the heavy art paper it is once again worked on by the artist to obtain the art effect and printed in a limited edition of 8 prints + 1 artist's proof, with signature and number. The paintings also are digital works on art paper that has been maroufled onto a canvas that is signed by me. All work is done by me in my personal art studio in Angers in France. The work is mostly inspired from my ramblings in the countryside and the sensation or feelings thus produced which I try to share with the spectators of my works.
