This painting began as a sketch as a figure drawing class many years ago. I wanted the figure to be large but to have a water color feel. After many years , i discovered that working on raw canvas allowed the acrylic paint to act like watercolor. The figure is lying down open to the world. She is vulnerable yet confident.
