About The Artwork
Throughout my career as a photographer, whether creating timeless portraits of top musical talent, shooting fashion, beauty, or advertising, I have always challenged myself to uncover fresh and unique approaches to my projects. This drive to find something “new” has led me to a very exciting new medium- Collage. Mixing the mediums of my photographs and paint has added a new way for me to create art and inspire my clients. The Collages are a combination of color, chaos, and tension, achieved through the layering and blending of photographic images and then paint to blur the lines. The photos and the paint are combined to create a dreamlike version of reality. My goal with every project is to work very closely with my clients, recognize their needs, and deliver images with a strong visual impact.

I have been a photographer and a painter my entire career. My most recent body of work, “Collages” is a combination of these two elements. The connection and interplay of the literal photographic image and the fluid inconsistency of the paint instill a dream like quality to my art. Cutting, tearing and taping images to the canvas, constantly rearranging their placement, adding and subtracting, sometimes shooting new imagery when the piece asks for something “more”, walking away and returning……..all conspire to reveal the story imbedded in the canvas. A lifetime in New York City has influenced my art. The city is forever stimulating and chaotic, I find inspiration everywhere. My urban art is combined with my imagery of travels around the world. Intimate images which represent beauty, chaos and the subconscious stresses life .
