About The Artwork
I have for a very long time wanted to make this image. This image allows the viewer to privately consider his or her Visual Acuity as it relates to color. The image allows the viewer to know what his or her acuity is without automatically revealing it to others. The columns on the left should look like a continuous fade. Because the transitions are too small for you to see them. The columns on the right should look chunked because the transitions are large. And somewhere in the middle, only known to the viewer, you can't tell the difference any more. You can tell others; or you can lie; it's up to you. Enjoy. Also, if you were an artist trying to understand how colors in your images transitioned into prints. This would be a GREAT print to have.
