ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I'm always looking for new things. I've taken my process from an absorbent substrate to one that doesn't absorb at all! The horizon holds cloud-like bubbles of abstract chaos, or bubble-like clouds of Easter colors and storms. I like the way I can draw on this paper, and its feel. I like the way the time-based aspect of my work go entirely in new directions that are also the same. As with my works on joint compound, the work is generative. I start with a simple concept; a horizon line and bubbles that extend out on each side. I take a pass, then I do it again with different media. I do the same thing over and over again, but each time the response must change. Every single mark is either exhaustively considered or done in flow. For this series and type of work, the pieces are also offered as prints, so that you can enjoy them even if you're on a budget, and you can enjoy them in large, eye-catching sizes. PLEASE NOTE: Some colors may fade over time. It is recommended to either frame this piece behind UV Resistant glass, and/or to hang in a space that doesn't get a ton of direct sunlight. Or to enjoy the changes time brings to all things.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Some artists are easily able to explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how they do it. That’s not me. Pulling back for the big picture, here’s my Life Statement. I simply hope to be at peace with being alive, and to love myself. Looking back, I was always compelled to be creative; I loved drawing, during which I felt OK just being. For the rest of my life, not so much. I do love trees, though. Clouds, water, sunlight. Letting go and enjoying those things. When I’m making art I’m making my version of those things, looking for a few moments of acceptance.
