Although nature is my biggest source of inspiration, people remain the leading theme for my work. I am interested in human beings, in the complexity of life, but at the same time have an intense appreciation for everyday life and the unseen happiness that is inherent to it. In my work you find both complexity and lightness of being. I paint, make collages and process all kinds of materials (partly found) such as wood, embroidery thread and iron wire. The casting resin gives me even more leeway to add layers and fixate the whole into a bright spectacle. All works of art are equipped with a hanging hook, in such a way that they 'float': there is approx. 2 mm space between wall and artwork.
