Like Kaonashi from 'Spirited Away,' Connor O'Malley's towering humanoid tree in 'A Monster Calls' can be frightening, but it's not necessarily evil. Our monsters sometimes follow us silently like Kaonashi, sometimes they speak to us. Sometimes it's us who must speak to them. 'Speak the truth or stay here forever,' the monster tells Connor in another passage of the book. It's not always easy to tell ourselves the truth, and it's not always easy to understand what the truth is. In this case, we used the black musou again. I wanted to try introducing an object that wasn't just a simple geometric shape. It's not the monster, it's not Connor, it's simply an element of volume to incorporate into the composition. Or maybe not, speak the truth, Connor... The tallest central element contains an NFC tag that links to an online playlist. All the playlists related to the various works are unique and specifically created.
