About The Artwork
The shadow ghost is derived from my experience of the observation of the shadows in human behaviour. The subconscious & the ethereal realms of the universe where ghosts exist in other dimensions. Which are sensed through my psychic ability, seen through my clairvoyance, experience of negative projections, as also the study of anthroposophy & esoteric philosophy. Developed from a hand made ghost costume, used in performance art, that has been either photographed or filmed for stills. To capture the expressive nature of the shadow ghost frozen in time through an image. That may question the viewers belief system about the ethereal realms, ghosts & other dimensions. As also possibly bring to the surface their fear based thoughts from their own unresolved subconscious activity. The shadow ghost is a project that has many avenues, being that has been developed further into imagery created from digital media. For the esoteric world of mindfulness & spiritualism in view of creating a Ghost Oracle card pack. This includes The Mystical Ghost series, The Crystaline Spirit series, The Sola Wraiths & The Rainbow Spectre's. (Available to view at www’psychicpenelope.com, an open print series) It has also taken a journey into an Arthouse Film Production with producer Paul De Silva & film director Robert Chilcott. Where I created my own narrative on inner transformation of the psyche. This film is still in the stages of post production. Inspired by Louise Bourgeois & Christine Borland for their ambiguity & diversity of the fragility of human life, death & the unconscious. As also Rudolf Steiner & Alex Grey for their incorporation of spirit, the ethereal realms of the universe and the study of anthroposophy.

I view the spirited in art practices, what is ethereal, in other dimensions, what is holographic or metaphysical. Be it the ethereal nature of light as a colourist or the absence of light from the shadows of the psyche viewing the masked persona as a psychic clairvoyant. I use Rudolph Steiner's colour theories, the spirited in art practices with the inner meaning of colour to work across different mediums in art practices. As also his insights into spiritual dimensions, the human psyche & esoteric wisdoms as a foundation for my practices. Beside my own insights I gained, in using my spiritual gifts as a light worker, psychic clairvoyant who reads auras & energies. I have a passion for colour & painting where I investigate the ethereal nature of light & abstract compositions. But, I also like to create imagery that is representative of the absence of light from the shadows of the psyche, as it is art that says something, it has a meaning & a purpose. Whether I use light or shadow, the absence of light, I use a source that is none physical in nature for my inspiration. Which I then develop into a project for studying how to translate what I see into physical reality to make it solid. Which is a line of enquiry that includes drawing, painting, photography, film making, digital media & costume design.
