About The Artwork
Originated from Javanese culture, especially from Yogyakarta and Surakarta, has notable meanings to the Javanese conceptualisation of the universe.Traditional colours such as indigo, dark brown and white represents the three major Hindu gods( Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva).Here I have created the art with these understanding on batik and combining it with the Kerala traditional dance - Katakali within this to produce a more abstract feel to the entire artwork.
